The HDFS Happiness Club at Iowa State University promotes personal and academic growth among ISU students, strongly focusing on supporting happiness and mental wellness. The club offers a range of educational, internal, self-reflective, and social programs, events, and activities. We strive to create a welcoming environment for all members while prioritizing happiness, mental well-being, and mindfulness.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
Community Service Projects or Kindness Initiatives: Develop projects that spread positivity on campus or in the community, like compliment cards or random acts of kindness days.
Social Events: Plan activities focused on relaxation and self-care, such as yoga and nature walks.
Book Club: Run a book club focusing on literature related to happiness/well-being.
Interactive Workshops: Facilitate sessions where members can learn and practice techniques such as gratitude, journaling, meditation, and self-compassion.
Support Circles: Meetings where members can discuss personal growth, resilience, or professional interests in a supportive environment.
Awareness Campaigns: Organize events or campaigns around important dates, like World Mental Health Day, to promote awareness and destigmatize mental health issues. |
