Description
Young Americans for Freedom promotes the principles of limited government, individual freedom, free enterprise, a strong national defense, and traditional values, as outlined in the Sharon Statement. This is accomplished by participating in a wide range of campus initiatives, such as the 9/11: Never Forget Project, Freedom Week, and the GPA Redistribution Contest, among others; and by hosting prominent conservative speakers.

Description of Special Events
In addition to weekly meetings, we participate in activism across campus to promote our club and defend conservative values. This includes tabling on central campus, the 9/11 Never Forget Project, Freedom Week, the Pro-Life timeline and De-Transitioner's Day of Visibility. Additionally, we host at least one flagship speaker a year through our national organization. In the past we have hosted Ben Shapiro, Vince Everett Ellison and James Lindsay. Through our sister YAF chapter at the University of Iowa, we are also able to attend their speaking events and have made the trip to Iowa City to see Matt Walsh, Michael Knowles, Chloe Cole and Yeonmi Park. We also have occasional social events such as election night watch parties and shooting range days. |
