Description
The Wind Energy Student Organization (WESO) promotes wind energy education and awareness at both a university as well as a K-12 level. The club participates in the Department of Energy's Collegiate Wind Competition after the spring semester ends. All majors are welcome, we have three teams: a turbine design team, a wind farm design team, and an outreach team. People with skills in communication, event planning, economics, CAD, machining, programming, and electrical circuits.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
The research committee works on designing and building a small wind turbine and a wind farm plan. The outreach committee educates young students and has hands-on activities at school events or on campus. |
