Description

Veterinarians without Borders at Iowa State University is a student run club that focuses on providing unique learning opportunities to any ISU undergraduate student who is interested in animal health and veterinary care. In addition to our monthly meetings hosted on campus, we provide social, learning, and volunteering opportunities for our members for a variety of interests and niches. ISU Vets without Borders also conducts yearly trips to underserved communities across the globe to provide life saving veterinary care in order to improve both human and animal welfare. Our goal is to provide a new perspective of the veterinary world every single day, offering a view of the global need for compassionate and comprehensive animal care.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Meetings: VwB hosts monthly meetings in which we hear from a variety of veterinary professionals and specialists, as well as make regular updates and announcements on club goings ons, trip updates, and event updates. Activities: VwB provides various outside activities for both learning and experience, volunteering, and social events. Some of our past events include Cookie Decorating Socials, various Wet Labs and Suture Labs hosted at the Iowa State Veterinary School, and Dog Treat making activities.
