The VBMA will provide the students, faculty, and staff of the College of Veterinary Medicine an organization for the purpose of discussions on topics of business and management issues concerning the profession of Veterinary Medicine.

Membership Qualifications An interest in Veterinary Business
Membership Restrictions Must be a veterinary student year 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Elections/Selection Elections for new officers are held in October and selections are made by November 1st.
Meetings We have 8-12 lunch or dinner meetings per semester for the club. Executive team meets 5-7 times per semester.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Speakers from across the country come to present on topics in one of four categories listed below. Veterinary students that are part of the VBMA earn credit for each meeting they attend, working towards a nationally recognized business certificate. Members must obtain a certain amount of credits in each category in order to be eligible for the business certificate. Categories: 1. Business Operations, Management and Ownership 2. Business Finance 3. Career and Personal Development 4. Business Leadership Skills

Description of Special Events

VBMA officers attend the VBMA National Meeting held in Orlando, FL every January. This is funded by sponsorships and fundraising but does come out of the general account. VBMA also provides meals for officer meetings as well as most general club meetings.
