The Wildlife Society at Iowa State University is the Iowa State student chapter of The Wildlife Society, providing hands-on experiences with wildlife and conservation. This organization was formerly known as Fisheries and Wildlife Biology Club.
Activities include: birding, herping, workshops, outdoor recreation/hiking, fishing, among other wildlife related activities. This club hosts a variety of speakers, including guests from government organizations, wildlife professionals, graduate students, and conservation groups.
TWS at ISU participates annually in The Wildlife Society's Midwest Student Conclave, a weekend of speakers and workshops relevant to wildlife biology as well as networking opportunities between students from different universities.
