Description

The Student Alumni Leadership Council, a program of the Iowa State University Alumni Association, sponsors, plans and coordinates programs and events for ISU students, alumni, the Ames community and prospective students. We provide activities that enhance school spirit both on and off-campus for Cyclones everywhere! SALC is proud of its mission, vision, and goals to help Iowa State students become their best as student leaders of today and alumni leaders of tomorrow. SALC committees include Senior Class Council, Homecoming Central Committee, Ambassadors, Cyclone Alley, and First Year Leadership League!

Elections/Selection Selection via SALC interview process found at isusalc.org. Application for Homecoming Committees will open late fall semester. SALC Executive positions and other committee opportunities will open in March. First-year students are encouraged to apply in the fall for our First-Year Leadership League. Meetings Executive members meet monthly.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

SALC has more than 60 members who are divided into 5 committees. These committees meet weekly to plan events to promote Iowa State traditions, and foster a sense of loyalty and pride among students.

Description of Special Events

Special Events include: Homecoming events (Fall) Senior Week (Fall & Spring) CyHawk Kickoff (Fall) Rival Against Hunger (Fall) State Day (around late March/early April) And so many more!
