Description
Composed mainly of construction and mechanical engineering students with an interest in the specialty trades of mechanical construction. The chapter has monthly meetings with guest speakers, volunteer activities, monthly MCA of Iowa meetings in Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, and a national student competition in the fall. Others include golf outing, a tailgate, jobsite tours, and FACs. Come network with contractor members and see what heating, cooling, and new mechanical systems are like.

| Meetings |
General meetings are typically held on the Third Wednesday of the month at 7pm. Meetings are held on campus and include announcements from officers and presentations from industry guests. |
Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
| A regular monthly meeting consists of a brief overview of current club business and upcoming events, followed by a presentation by a guest speaker.
Guest speakers range from mechanical contractors to design engineers or specialty companies relating to mechanical construction.

ISU MCA will be partnering with ISU to tour the new Therkildsen Industrial Building currently under construction. Date for the tour is tentative, but will be sometime in April. Check back for more information!

Description of Special Events
| Each semester we host an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) Industry Day, bringing in local companies looking to network with students and provide full-time and internship positions related to mechanical construction. This year's MEP industry night will be held September 23rd, 2024

| The annual MCAA National Convention will be held in Austin, TX March 2nd-6th 0225. This event is held every year at various locations around the country. If you are interested in attending future MCAA events, please reach out to an ISU MCA cabinet member for more information. |
