Council Culture/Identity Based Graduate and Professional

Description

The objective of the International Student Council is to serve as a platform that ensures and enhances communication and cooperation between the International Community, the ISU community, and the Ames community. To achieve this objective, ISC sponsors coordinated events that showcase the cultures and lifestyles of the International Community, attempts to educate the ISU community and create awareness about humanitarian issues around the world, provides opportunity for exchange of ideas among constituents and represent constituents before the administration of Iowa State University and the City of Ames. ISC also advises its constituents in matters concerning them as members of the ISU community, provide educational and social services to its constituents and collaborate with the ISSO for special programs and/or events.

Membership Restrictions To apply for President or Treasurer, candidates must be in the organization for an academic year. President or Treasurer cannot be a current President or Treasurer of the General Assembly (other international or multicultural organization that are in the General Assembly) All members must have; Undergraduate student - CGPA 2.5 Graduate student - CGPA 3.0
Elections/Selection Executive Committee member election is conducted in (early April) Spring semester and serves for the upcoming academic year Officers and new committee members will be required to submit an application and interview for a seat on the council. ** ISC membership applications for 2022-2023 are now open! Meetings **Depending on the executive team's availability, the meeting times will be on a day/time they're all available. Fall 2022: Thursdays 6-8pm (ISC General Meeting) Fall 2022 undecided (ISC-GA General Meeting) **Bi-Weekly.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

**Regular meetings depending on committee member's availability per semester. A doodle poll is sent out at the end of every semester once all class application is complete.
