Description

Iowa Women in Architecture is a club, open to all genders and majors, which is centered around Architecture and Design. Bringing students and faculty together, along with professionals in the area. IAWIA offers monthly group discussions, a mentor program pairing students with business professionals, as well as semester events including a Portfolio Review and a Des Moines area Firm Crawl.

Allowed Members Current Iowa State University Students.
Allowed Officers Open to all members of IAWIA.
Membership Qualifications Full-time undergraduate, graduate student, with a minimum GPA of 2.00.
Membership Restrictions N/A
Elections/Selection Elections are held at the end of the fall semester. Eligible members must be in good standing with the university and currently enrolled, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5, and must pay in full all chapter dues and fees prior to the election.
Meetings IAWIA offers monthly group discussions about the culture and discipline of Architecture and Design.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

IAWIA meetings take place once a month on a weekday after scheduled studio time.

Description of Special Events

Events such as Portfolio Night take place in the Design atrium and other such gathering spaces provided by the College of Design.
