This is the student organization page for the History Club at Iowa State University. The purpose of this club is to promote the discipline as well as provide a place for interested students to discuss historical events. We usually meet weekly. | Membership Qualifications |
All members are qualified to run for a History Club officer position after their first year (two semesters) of participation. |
| Membership Restrictions |
GPA restrictions to apply to all officer positions. The President must be a declared History major. |

Elections take place each Spring and are determined by popular vote. |

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
| History Club has a wide variety of activities, including movie nights, scavenger hunts, potlucks, discussion nights, professor meet & greets, and socials with other clubs. We try to include elements from many different historical topics and periods, because we know interest varies widely. |
Description of Special Events
| Special events can include off-campus field trips or on-campus events such as lectures and tours. In the past, History Club has traveled to the State Historical Society of Iowa, the Salisbury House, and Kansas City. |
