This is the student organization page for the History Club at Iowa State University. The purpose of this club is to promote the discipline as well as provide a place for interested students to discuss historical events. We usually meet weekly. Membership Information

Allowed Members All Iowa State Students (undergraduate and graduate)
Allowed Officers All Iowa State History Club Members
Membership Qualifications All members are qualified to run for a History Club officer position after their first year (two semesters) of participation.
Membership Restrictions GPA restrictions to apply to all officer positions. The President must be a declared History major.
Elections/Selection Elections take place each Spring and are determined by popular vote.
Meetings Every Tuesday at 4:30 pm

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

History Club has a wide variety of activities, including movie nights, scavenger hunts, potlucks, discussion nights, professor meet & greets, and socials with other clubs. We try to include elements from many different historical topics and periods, because we know interest varies widely.

Description of Special Events

Special events can include off-campus field trips or on-campus events such as lectures and tours. In the past, History Club has traveled to the State Historical Society of Iowa, the Salisbury House, and Kansas City.
