Description
The mission of the Election Commission shall be the fair and proper administration of all elections of the Government. The Election Commission is tasked with planning, mediating, and executing the Student Government elections at Iowa State. Being a member of the commission develops many valuable skills to be applied outside of the classroom setting. Those skills can include marketable event management, strategic planning, delegation, decision making, teamwork, and many more as we work to search for the most qualified individuals to be lead the student body at Iowa State University.

Membership Restrictions |
Must be an ISU Student enrolled and qualify as a half-time or full-time student. Minimum cumulative grade point average 2.0. |
Elections/Selection |
Iowa State Student Government Elections are held every spring. |
Meetings |
We meet weekly on Tuesday at TBD. Additional weekly meetings are required for Executive and Committee members. Occasionally there are emergency meetings during the campaign season. |
Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
Meetings consist of making revisions to the election code and enforcing a just election for Student Government elected positions. |
Description of Special Events
Election Commission organizes and manages Student Government Elections, Presidential Debates and Vice-Presidential Debates. |
