The AI & ML Club at Iowa State University fosters a community for students passionate about Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Our mission is to unite like-minded individuals to collaborate, compete, and develop professionally within a supportive and dynamic environment. We provide hands-on projects in AI, ML, and Mobile App Development, equipping members with practical skills and real-world experience. Allowed Members |
Membership is open to full-time or half-time students at Iowa State University, specifically those enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering. To join, students must pass a coding test administered by the advisor and president to assess their eligibility and skill set. |
Allowed Officers |
Members who wish to hold officer positions must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits for undergraduate, 4 credits for graduate students). Officers must be in good standing with the university. |
Membership Qualifications |
Besides being a student enrolled in a relevant major, candidates must demonstrate adequate coding knowledge by passing the coding test. |
Membership Restrictions |
There are no specific restrictions beyond the enrollment in relevant majors and passing the coding test. There are no restrictions based on year or status. |
Elections/Selection |
No elections will be held until the current member graduates. Once eligible, elections for officer positions will be held annually, typically during the first meeting of each Fall semester. A majority vote from the general membership is required to elect officers. If no candidate secures a majority, a run-off election will be conducted between the top two candidates with the most votes. Candidates must meet the academic requirements outlined in Section 2. In case of delayed elections, the advisor may appoint officers after discussions with the student body. |

The club holds weekly meetings during the fall and spring semesters. Additional special events and cabinet meetings occur as needed |
