Description
Iowa State University (ISU) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is the voice of ISU student-athletes. The committee provides insight into the student-athlete experience for ISU Athletic administration, the Big 12 Conference, and the NCAA.

Membership Qualifications |
SAAC participation is open to all student-athletes who wish to participate. To be considered, student-athletes must be currently enrolled as a student-athlete in good academic standing; good communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to represent diverse perspectives and needs within SAAC; and have a strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive athletic community. |
Membership Restrictions |
Maintain a 2.0 or above cumulative grade point average (GPA) at the end of each semester; Be in good standing with the university and enrolled as a full-time student. |
Elections/Selection |
Applications for SAAC membership and the SAAC Executive Board are conducted during the spring semester. |
Meetings |
SAAC will meet once each month, or at the discretion of the Executive Board and/or SAAC Advisor(s). The Executive Board will meet once each month and a week minimum prior to the SAAC meeting. |
