Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Meetings will be held once every two weeks throughout the Fall and Spring semesters. During these meetings, we will relay needed information to members and plan future events to be held during the semester. We will be hosting "Smile Drives" at local businesses and organizations where students and faculty will volunteer to work at a booth that will serve as a place for people to donate money that will be donated to local and national dental charities, donate dental supplies to be distributed to the local community, and serve as a place to educate people on proper dental care. Once a year (usually in October), we will volunteer as a group at the yearly Iowa Mission of Mercy, which is an organization that provides free dental care to people all across the state of Iowa.

Description of Special Events

Once an academic year, we will host a special smile drive on campus called "Miles for Smiles" which is a fundraising event similar to the normal smile drives except there will be a 5K run, yard games, vollyball, etc. for students to enjoy.
