Description
The purpose of The College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2026 student organization shall be to govern the College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2026. Our goals include, but are not limited to: functioning as a liaison between the College of Veterinary Medicine administration and the College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2026, facilitation of social activities among members, academic support in the form of organizing review sessions and moving exams, and funding and planning of the College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2026 graduation banquet as well as a Class of 2026 graduation gift to the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Elections/Selection |
The term of office will be one academic year for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. A month prior to finals week of each Spring semester of the academic year, the Executive Board should poll the club on the decision for retaining current Officers, or electing new Officers through simple majority vote. If a vote shall be held, it should be no later than three weeks prior to finals week. If new Officer(s) are elected, they will work with the current Officer(s) in the last few weeks of the semester to transfer any relative documents and training to the incoming Officer(s). Relinquishment of Officer duties will occur after the last day of finals of that Spring semester. Instatement of the new Officer(s) will occur on the same day in which the outgoing Officer(s) relinquish their duties. All Officers and Advisors shall comprise the Executive Board of the organization. The Executive Board shall meet in addition to regular organization meetings. The Executive Board shall appoint such committees that are needed to carry out organization goals. |

The class of 2026 banquet is designed to honor students' accomplishment for completing the rigorous Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine curriculum. The banquet is designed to represent completion of the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree. |
