Description
The purpose of Fashion and Justice is to educate about and advocate for justice issues related to fashion, dress, style, and the fashion industry. The goals of this organization are to educate students about fashion and justice related issues centering historically marginalized identities. Specifically thinking about race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexuality, ability, religion, nation, and body size. Our goal is also to engage in action-oriented change related to the issues. To achieve these goals, Fashion and Justice will engage in educational activities such as bringing in guest speakers, going on field trips, reading and discussing topics, and watching films and debriefing. The organization will also engage in action-oriented activities such as advocating for policy or curriculum changes to address justice issues in these spaces.
