Membership Restrictions
Elections/Selection Elections shall be held on the last Friday of each Fall semester. Terms for officers shall last for one academic year. Voting shall be done via secret ballot in a ranked choice voting format with the winner being whoever holds a majority of non-exhausted ballots. Elections will be held physically, but also with an online option available for 24 hours. The administration of the annual elections & announcement of their results shall be conducted by the Adviser. To register for the ballot in an annual election, members shall declare their candidacy to the Adviser & provide proof of qualification at least one week prior to the election. Should a vacancy of an officer position occur, special elections shall be held between one to three weeks after the opening of the vacancy. Administration of special elections & announcement of their results shall be conducted by the President. To register for the ballot in a special election, members shall declare their candidacy to the President & provide proof of qualification at least two days prior to the election. In both annual & special elections, each candidate shall have five minutes to speak to the club members just prior to the election. If candidates are running for multiple positions they may have a turn to speak for each position, up to a maximum of twenty minutes of speaking.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

In meetings, we will have discussions and updates about Better Ballot Iowa and RCV in Iowa and across the U.S. We will discuss upcoming opportunities for activism.
