AWM is organized and will be operated for educational and scientific purposes to promote the following: 1. an increased knowledge of and greater interest in the mathematical sciences, including pure and applied mathematics, statistics, and their applications; 2. greater understanding of the contributions of women in the mathematical sciences; and 3. mentoring and encouraging women and girls as they prepare for careers in the mathematical sciences.

Allowed Members Any registered student in good standing
Allowed Officers President, Vice President/Treasurer, Secretary, Committee Chairs
Membership Qualifications Open to all registered students in good standing. To be a voting member, you must register as an AWM member on the student organization website, register as an AWM member with the international AWM website, and attend at least one event.
Membership Restrictions None
Elections/Selection Elections occur each January to choose the executive committee, which serves for one year (January-January).
Meetings The executive committee meets biweekly. General meetings occur approximately once per month and include fun events (movies, craft nights, etc.), talks and discussions, service events, and outreach events.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

AWM is currently working on adapting to a virtual format. Events to be announced soon. Be sure to attend the events held as part of our ongoing Joint AWM Moca Speaker Series (JAMSS).
