Election Information and Timeline
General Info
- Once members are elected, Geoffroy Hall Council will meet from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Tuesday nights in the Geoffroy Activity Room
- All members need to be available at the time on weekly basis, aside from night exams
- No previous student council, FFA, 4-H, or other student leader experience necessary!
Campaigning Info
- No negative references towards other candidates running for Hall Council positions
- This process is meant to be a fun way to get involved in the hall, not a way to put others down
- If you want to sit in a public area and talk to people (a house den other than your house den, or in the lobby), please provide 24 hours notice to Hall Directors Khai Phyn and Mitchell
- You can hang posters on your door and any door with the room owners' permission
Election Timeline
- Sunday, August 25th, 2024 - Official announcement at opening house meetings
- Thursday, August 29th, 2024 - Campaigning posters and advertisements can start
- Thursday, September 5th, 2024 at 12:00 PM Noon - Voting begins
- Monday, September 9th, 2024 at 12:00 PM Noon - Voting ends
- Monday, September 9th, 2024 at 11:00 PM - All campaigning posters and advertisements must be removed by the candidate
- Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 at 7:30 PM - Hall Council begins
