Description
Phorum acts as a professional group that evaluates, organizes, implements, and develops services that meet the professional and academic needs of graduate students. The group also serves as the primary channel of communication between the RPC/RCPC graduate students and faculty, working to foster a more inclusive and collaborative environment throughout the department. Phorum intends to support members in several ways, including:
-Identifying relevant conferences and assisting with project completion, submission, and presentation
-Facilitating connections beyond our ISU academic community to assist with the transition to jobs within and outside of academia
-Helping all members through the academic and degree planning process, including support through programmatic milestones such as portfolio reviews, preliminary written and oral examinations, and defenses
