Mortensen house is a residence based group that promotes these ideals: free expression of ideas and opinions, promotion of an academic environment and acquisition of social skills to further interaction with other members and the surrounding community.

Elections for house cabinet positions occur within the first month of the beginning of the fall semester. |
| Meetings |
Meetings will be called at 9PM Sunday night once per week. Members will be notified at least two days in advance if there is a deviation from that time slot. |
Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
| The house cabinet will inform the members of general house news, test interest in new social events, and discuss information which pertains to the residents of Helser Mortensen. There will be one meeting per week at 9PM Sunday night. |
