First Astronomy Night of the Semester
Our first astronomy night began early so that we could watch the ISS
cross the sky overhead. The night was a joint event with the Ames
Area Amateur Astronomy (AAAA) club. Between our groups we had a turnout of
approximately 20 people and 5 telescopes which we used to observe a
variety of stars and a comet. We were also treated to a brief
presentation outlining the stars and constellations we were observing.
